The Rich Man and His Son

Isshin and baby Ichigo are so ADORABLE!!

I've been wanting to do a papa-Isshin pic since forever. Because really, the idea of him being a dad is so beautiful! Really, I mean, think about it.
(SPOILERS and THEORIES follow) Spirits/shinigami can't have children (unless they're nobles). So with rogue shinigami Isshin Kurosaki in love with human (?) Masaki, he gets a gigai from Urahara that will make him human. But never does he even hope to dream of having kids until Masaki tells him she's pregnant with their first child -- a beautiful baby boy with his mother's bright hair and his father's spirit (lol pun XD). Isshin couldn't be happier.

Anywho, so I could never decide what to draw. Then while on vacation I just started sketching random small pics of the two. Originally I was just gonna put them up as a sort of sketch dump, but I thought this was cuter. Cliche, but cuter. lol
BTW!! I fail at baby/toddler anatomy. X_X;;

I guess I'll do some explanations just incase the pictures aren't clear...

Isshin holds his baby boy; "He has so much hair! Do they usually have so much hair?! Look at his hands! They're so tiny!! And he's so pink! LOOK! His head is only the size of my hand!!"

Even though they named his son "一護," Isshin can't help having fun with the pun. "Look, Masaki! Ichigo! I bought this hair band at the store earlier! They're little ichigo!" "Darling, those hair bands are usually for girls..." "Oh really? But they're so cute on him... =C" "...^_^; ah well, just be sure he doesn't see this photo when he's older... tehehe"

Isshin's first Father's Day; Masaki gets him something special...

Isshin does his son's hair like his own, Ichigo -- being young -- thinks it's cool to look like his dad. "Tousan (Dad), how come my hair won't stand up like yours?" "*GASP* <3 I don't know! We'll have to fix that!! Come here, Ichigo!" And later, "Kasan, Kasan (Mom, Mom) look!! My hair looks like Dad's!" "It sure does, Ichigo! <3 Now how about my two handsome boys come here for a photo?"

MIDDLE
Isshin begins to learn about human medicine to get ready for his work as a doctor and uses a stethoscope for the first time on his son. "O.O Woah! I can hear it! I can hear his heart... It's..." He is soon lost for words.

Isshin helps teach child!Ichigo combat. "That's it Ichigo! Right, left, left again. Good! You're so cute!! <3"

Isshin hands over a stinky Ichigo (who looks too old to be in diapers b/c I fail at toddler anatomy) to Masaki, who smirks and refuses. "It's your turn this time, darling." "But I don't know how..." "Well, then. It's a perfect time to learn. >: ) " Btw, I love Isshin's T-shirt here. It has the char for "dad" on it. He seems like the kind of dad who would wear a pink "dad" shirt. XD

Isshin's reaction to the smell of changing diapers. (My mom's requested this sketch) "Eeeegghhhhhasdkfa Is it supposed to smell like this???" ">: ) *takes a photo*"

Isshin's way to solve the stench problem of changing diapers and the beginning of his Bearded Daruma Doll joke. (This is what popped into my head after being asked to draw diaper changing scenarios lol)

Conclusion: Kurosaki Isshin is Bleach's equivalent to FMA's Maes Hughes.
